Why Join?

Let’s be honest. When you think of a sorority, you think of women in college. But we vowed to be Kappas beyond our college days and into the lives of families and careers.

Whether it’s to network, make new friends or find someone to support you through parenthood, we’re here and we want to help. Reconnect with Kappa by joining your local alumnae association today.

Will you consider becoming part of our local association?

Kappa rituals and traditions are what sets our organization apart from all others. Membership isn't open to the public; that's what makes us special. No matter where you grew up, what college you attended, or what you majored in, Kappa is the connection we have with each other.

East Valley has something for everyone!  Philanthropy, Happy Hour, Ritual, Learning, Celebrating, and Laughing - these are just some of the things you can look forward to with East Valley Alumnae Association.

Active Members have the right to vote, hold office, serve as a delegate at Province and Convention, serve as a member of the Advisory/House Board, Fraternity Standing Committee or Fraternity Officer and receive invitations to upcoming events.

We belong because we believe in Kappa and want to perpetuate the benefits we’ve received throughout our lifetime.  Paying dues to the alumnae association is a small price to pay to guarantee the future of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Where does my Dues go?

About 50% of your dues go to Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity Headquarters to support:

  • Training and materials for chapters and Alumnae Associations.

  • Leadership Consultants who visit our chapters, province Officers training and expenses.

  • Technology including our database and website.

  • Publication of The Key magazine.

  • Maintenance of our Headquarters building, salaries of our Headquarters staff, professional fees such as auditors and attorneys, and convention expenses.

The remaining amount stays within the local alumnae association to support their activities:

  • Donations and giving to community charities, the Active chapter and the Kappa Foundation.

  • Founders Day, Senior Celebrations, Convention, Province, and Alumnae Association meetings and events.
